Valley Health taps physician as chief medical information officer

Paramus, N.J.-based Valley Health System appointed K. Nadeem Ahmed, MD, as its chief medical information officer.

Most recently, Dr. Ahmed served as global chief medical information officer for the Aga Khan University in Pakistan along with its hospital network spanning Africa and Asia, according to a June 24 news release from Valley Health. 

He has also served as a physician executive consultant for more than 20 health systems and co-founded a hospitalist group at an affiliate hospital with Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health.
