Dr. Billstrand joins UTHSC from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where she serves as a professor and anesthesiologist director of surgical services in the anesthesia and critical care department, according to a Jan. 26 news release from UTHSC.
In her new role, Dr. Billstrand will oversee the anesthesia providers, including attending physicians and CRNAs, who practice at Memphis-based Regional One Health, a core teaching hospital partner with the medical school.
