Mark Rosenblatt, MD, PhD, executive dean for the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, has been named interim CEO for the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics, pending approval from the board of trustees.
Dr. Rosenblatt will continue to serve as executive dean. He is also a professor of ophthalmology at the college of medicine and a board-certified ophthalmologist.
Before UIC, Dr. Rosenblatt was a faculty member in the department of ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, according to a March 20 press release.
