UF Health taps 2 new team executives

The University of Florida Health Shands Hospital has added physicians Timothy Morey, MD, as its chief medical officer and Jennifer Hunt, MD, as chief of staff.

Since 2013, Dr. Morey has served as UF’s chair of the department of anesthesiology. He will support the role until an interim chair is named. In his new role, Dr. Morey will oversee patient care, clinical effectiveness, patient satisfaction and safety promotion. 

Dr. Hunt will take over her new role while continuing to serve as UF College of Medicine’s chair of the department of pathology, immunology and laboratory medicine, according to a Jan. 9 press release from UF Health. 

She has been with UF since 2020 and in her new position, she will focus on credentialing, rule, policy, bylaw and regulation enforcement and advising on best policies and practices.
