UChicago Medicine names Dr. Blase Polite as chief physician at new Indiana microhospital

The University of Chicago Medicine is naming Blase Polite, MD, as chief physician at its upcoming multispecialty microhospital in Crown Point, Ind., according to Sept. 22 reporting from nwitimes.com.

Dr. Polite currently serves as the University of Chicago’s professor of medicine, deputy section chief for strategy and network development, and executive medical director for cancer accountable care.

In his new role, Dr. Polite will be charged with working with department chairs to formulate a growth strategy. The University of Chicago recently broke ground on the new facility and plans to treat 110,000 patients a year when the new facility is open.
