Tulsa Rehabilitation Hospital names medical director

Melissa Frandsen, MD, has been appointed medical director of Tulsa (Okla.) Rehabilitation Hospital, a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital owned by Saint Francis Health System and NKD Rehab.

Dr. Frandsen joins Tulsa Rehabilitation Hospital with over a decade of rehabilitation physician leadership experience in both acute care and post-acute care settings, according to a May 30 news release. 

Dr. Frandsen has served as medical director and assistant medical director for three different healthcare systems in the Tulsa area, the release said. She most recently served as a physician advisory board member.

In addition to Dr. Frandsen’s appointment, Ian Cooper was named chief executive officer of the hospital.
