Dr. Cosgrove served as president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic from 2004 to 2017, during which time he grew the health system into an $8 billion organization, according to a Jan. 31 news release from New York City-based Tomorrow Health. He also oversaw Cleveland Clinic’s expansion into Canada, London and Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Cosgrove began his career at Cleveland Clinic as a cardiac surgeon and currently serves as an executive adviser. He is also a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and a member of the National Academy of Medicine, in addition to having been named to the Cleveland Medical Hall of Fame, the release said.
