TFF Pharmaceuticals selects Dr. Zamaneh Mikhak as chief medical officer

Zamaneh Mikhak, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company TFF Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Mikhak joins TFF Pharmaceuticals from Cogent Biosciences, where she served as senior vice president and head of clinical development. She also has experience as vice president of clinical development at Boston Pharmaceuticals and senior director of Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, according to a Jan. 9 news release from TFF.

Dr. Mikhak has over two decades of experience in clinical practice as a physician-scientist board certified in allergy and immunology. She practiced at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from 2006 to 2014 and provided care for patients with atopic and immunologic diseases.

Dr. Mikhak also established the Healthy Link Asthma Education Program at Boston Children’s Hospital to treat patients with high-risk asthma and taught as an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
