Texas practice adds physician leader

Laredo (Texas) Medical Center has opened a new medical office that will be led by family medicine physician Dr. Yanick Ekortarh.

According to a Dec. 16 news release from the practice, Dr. Ekortarh joins six family medicine physicians at the newly opened medical center: Richard Bang, MD, Christopher Tchou, MD, Dr. Jesus Aguirre-Burgos, Dr. Miguel Villarino, Cory Fernandes, DO, and Jacob Kallsen, MD. The physicians have a combined 75 years of experience. 

Dr. Ekortarh specializes in preventive care for patients younger than 5, chronic conditions and women’s health, the release said. 

Earlier this year, Laredo Medical Center opened another practice that is led by Dr. Villarino.
