Texas Children’s Hospital Woodlands names chief medical officer

Rachel Marek, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of Texas Children’s Hospital the Woodlands.

Dr. Marek first joined the hospital as medical director of pediatric hospital medicine in 2016, according to an Aug. 3 news release. She also teaches as an associate professor of pediatrics, hospital medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

“I am honored to serve Texas Children’s The Woodlands in this new capacity,” Dr. Marek said in the release. “I look forward to continuing to build our team, supporting our entire staff, and striving for medical excellence at our campus in this tremendous community.”
