Dr. Smith most recently served as CEO of Sutter Health Valley Medical Foundation. He has previous leadership experience as medical director of specialty care at Gould Medical Group and section chief for orthopedics and podiatry at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation.
In this new role, Dr. Smith will be responsible for delivering systemwide service line standards, strengthening relationships with physicians across the system and reducing clinical variation. He will work closely with recently appointed chief operating officer Mark Sevco.
