Dr. Park joins St. Jude’s from Seattle Children’s Therapeutics, where she served as chief medical officer, according to a Jan. 26 news release. While in Seattle, she was also an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and an associate in the clinical research division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
Dr. Park will also serve as the inaugural associate director for translational research at St. Jude’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. It is the first and only national cancer institute-designated center devoted solely to children, the release said.
Dr. Park succeeds former department chair Dr. Ching-Hon Pui, who will now focus on clinical research for St. Jude Global in the Asia-Pacific region.
