Janise Whitesell, MD, has become the first elected female chief of medical staff in the history of Brunswick-based Southeast Georgia Health System.
Dr. Whitesell will lead the staff of the health system's Camden campus in St. Marys, according to a Feb. 6 news release from Southeast Georgia Health. She also practices as a family medicine physician at Southeast Georgia Physician Associates Primary Care, also in St. Marys.
Dr. Whitesell joined the healthcare system in 2007.
