Prisma Health Cancer Institute appoints Dr. Julian Kim president

Julian Kim, MD, has been named president of Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health Cancer Institute, which includes 11 cancer clinic sites throughout the state and treats an estimated 8,000 cancer patients annually.

Dr. Kim first joined Prisma in 2018 as senior medical director of oncology services in the Midlands, according to a March 30 news release. He most recently served as chair of the department of surgery at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

Dr. Kim previously served as the inaugural chief medical officer of the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Hospital in Cleveland. He also treated patients as a surgical oncologist at the Ohio State University in Columbus and at Cleveland Clinic.
