Physician takes over as VP, chief medical officer of 2 hospitals

Ana Davitt, MD, was appointed vice president and chief medical officer of Tower Health’s Phoenixville and Pottstown Hospitals, both in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Davitt currently serves as the associate director of Phoenixville Hospital’s emergency department, according to a May 17 news release from the West Reading, Pa.-based health system. 

In her new role, she will work with each of the hospital’s chief medical, nursing and quality officers to monitor and improve performance across quality metrics including length of stay, hospital readmissions and transitions of care, according to the release.
