Phoenix Children’s names chief physician executive

Phoenix Children’s has named Jared Muenzer, MD, as its next chief physician executive.

Dr. Muenzer has been with the Phoenix Children’s health system since 2012, according to an Aug. 29 news release. During that time, he has served as physician-in-chief and as a practicing physician within the emergency department.

In addition to his new role, Dr. Muenzer will continue to serve as chief operating officer of Phoenix Children’s Medical Group, a role he has held since 2016. As COO, he oversees more than 750 employed physicians and advanced practice providers at over 40 sites of service across Arizona.
