In February 2013, an investigation found that Dr. Fox failed to maintain complete records of controlled substances, failed to keep required receipt records, failed to perform inventories and failed to keep controlled substances secure. He agreed to correct his conduct after the DEA issued a Letter of Admonition.
Nine years later, another investigation found that Dr. Fox continued the same violations and was also prescribing controlled substances in violation of applicable regulations.
As part of the settlement, Dr. Fox agreed to be subject to additional controlled substance restrictions from the Drug Enforcement Administration for three years.
