NFL Physicians Society names president

James Voos, MD, has been elected president of the NFL Physicians Society.

Dr. Voos has served as head team physician for the Cleveland Browns since 2014, according to a March 1 news release. He also serves as executive director of UH Haslam Sports Innovation Center in Cleveland.

Dr. Voos is the chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at Cleveland-based University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University and serves as an orthopedic surgeon for a variety of colleges and high schools in the region. He was elected to the two-year position unanimously, the release said.
