Dr. George has been a member of the society and a practicing physician for 37 years, and is a former state legislator. He will be in charge of meeting member needs at the society.

Dr. George practices at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Anesthesiology.

“Over the years, there’s been no question that MSMS has made a significant and positive difference in shaping our state’s health care landscape through its advocacy efforts on behalf of Michigan’s physicians and the patients they serve,” Dr. George said in a Nov. 17 press release. “I intend to see that this society continues to provide that same kind of value and service to its members.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
