Meet the physicians leading US News' top-ranked hospitals

For more than 30 years, U.S. News & World Report has ranked the top hospitals in America — with 22 hospitals excelling across most or all types of care.

U.S. News' "Best Hospitals" list of 2023, published Aug. 1, analyzed more than 1,600 hospitals in categories including orthopedics, gastroenterology and cancer care. Facilities that earn top rankings in multiple categories are named to its "honor roll."

Here are the 14 medical centers recognized on the honor roll that are led by physicians, listed in alphabetical order:
