McLaren Flint taps chief medical officer, VP of medical affairs

McLaren Flint (Mich.) has named Varsha Moudgal, MD, as its chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs.

The full-service hospital has 378 beds and serves the entire county. Dr. Moudgal is an infectious disease specialist, joining McLaren from Trinity Health Livingston in Howell, Mich., where she served as associate chief medical officer. 

In her new role, Dr. Moudgal will liaise between providers and hospital leadership and uphold the hospital’s clinical quality across all departments, according to a March 13 press release.
