Erie County Medical Center names chief medical officer

Samuel Cloud, DO, has been named the chief medical officer of Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y., the center announced in a release Jan. 3.

Dr. Cloud most recently served as associate medical director for ECMC and spent two terms as  president of the ECMC Medical Dental staff. He also works as an emergency medicine attending physician at ECMC.

Dr. Cloud is an assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he completed his fellowship in emergency medicine and served as the associate director for the emergency medicine residency program for eight years.
