Dr. Todd Griffin named VP for clinical services at Stony Brook Medicine

Stony Brook (N.Y.) Medicine has selected Todd Griffin, MD, as its next vice president for clinical services and vice dean for clinical affairs. Dr. Griffin will assume the roles Jan. 1, according to a Dec. 15 release.

Dr. Griffin has spent much of his medical career at Stony Brook, as he received his medical degree from the Stony Brook School of Medicine, completed his residency there and returned as a faculty member. 

He is currently a professor and chair of the department of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive medicine. As chair, Dr. Griffin has grown the department’s revenue from $12 million to almost $100 million over the last decade, according to the university release. 

Dr. Griffin has acted as interim vice president for clinical services and vice dean for clinical affairs since June and previously served as the chief medical officer of Stony Brook University Hospital.
