Dr. Timothy Tesmer named chief medical officer of Nebraska public health division

Timothy Tesmer, MD, was named the next chief medical officer of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Public Health.

Previously, Dr. Tesmer ran his own ear, nose and throat private practice, according to a Feb. 14 news release from Gov. Jim Pillen’s office. 

“Dr. Tesmer is a distinguished physician and surgeon with over 35 years of practice,” Mr. Pillen said in the release. “I look forward to the strides our Division of Public Health will make in helping people live better lives under his leadership.”

Dr. Tesmer will take on the new role March 27.
