Dr. Steven Kalkanis named CEO of Henry Ford Hospital

Steven Kalkanis, MD, has been selected as Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital’s next CEO and executive vice president, The National Herald reported March 25.

Dr. Kalkanis will also continue serving as CEO of the Henry Ford Medical Group. He will be the first singular physician leader to hold both positions. 

He joined Henry Ford Health in 2004 as a neurosurgeon. In 2014, he was named chair of Henry Ford’s Department of Neurosurgery.

Additionally, Dr. Kalkanis is the president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and a director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
