Dr. Sean Pinney appointed chief of cardiology at Mount Sinai Morningside

Sean Pinney, MD, has been named chief of cardiology at Mount Sinai Morningside in New York City.

Dr. Pinney rejoins Mount Sinai after serving as director of heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to a March 1 news release announcing his appointment.


Dr. Pinney held a variety of leadership roles while at Mount Sinai from 2004 to 2020. These roles include fellowship director of advanced heart failure and transplantation for The Mount Sinai Hospital and director of heart failure and transplantation for the Mount Sinai Health System.
