Dr. Sarah Lopez to serve as Zócalo Health’s 1st Latina chief medical officer

Zócalo Health, a Seattle-based healthcare provider group designed for Latino patients, appointed Sarah Lopez, MD, its chief medical officer.

The group provides appointment booking services, same day visits and virtual care access, according to a Jan. 25 news release from Zócalo. 

Dr. Lopez is the group’s first Latina CMO and previously served as a patient safety officer and emergency medicine physician at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, Calif. In her new role, Dr. Lopez will work to expand the company’s care model and clinical services, according to the release.
