Physician Retraining & Reentry is a program that trains physicians to practice as primary care doctors. Before joining the program, Dr. Flanders served as the chief of inpatient medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, according to the Oct. 3 Physician Retraining & Reentry news release.
Dr. Flanders is a cardiologist. She will advise on the 15 online modules educational program in her new role.
“I am looking forward to working with Physician Retraining & Reentry on identifying and creating opportunities for physicians who have returned to practice or want to change specialties to provide much-needed primary care to our communities — especially those in under-served and rural areas,” Dr. Flanders said. “Physician Retraining & Reentry and its participants should be commended for their efforts to increase the number of primary care physicians and I’m proud to support that.”
