Alejandro Quiroja, MD, has been named president of Corewell Health West in Michigan, effective May 1.
Dr. Quiroja joined Corewell Health in 2011 as a pediatric nephrologist with Spectrum Health before its February 2022 merger with Beaumont Health, according to an April 26 news release from Corewell, which has dual headquarters in Grand Rapids and Southfield, Mich.
He went on to hold a variety of leadership positions at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, including pediatric specialties division chief and associate program director for the pediatric residency program.
Dr. Quiroga also served as vice president of medical affairs for Spectrum Health Medical Group and senior vice president of population before being appointed chief medical officer of ambulatory care for Corewell Health in West Michigan.
