Dr. Voos has served as a team physician for the Cleveland Browns since 2014, according to a March 9 report from the team. He received the award at the NFL Physicians Society Annual Scientific Meeting on March 1 during the NFL Combine.
Dr. Voos was honored for his research project “Return to Play Assessment After ACL Reconstruction Using Wearable Technology.” The research focused on the body’s use of oxygen after ACL reconstruction surgery to create better recovery plans for patients.
The project was supported by Cleveland-based University Hospitals, which has served as the Browns’ official healthcare partner since 2014.
