Cincinnati health system TriHealth appoints inaugural chief health equity officer

Thomas Shockley, MD, has been named the inaugural chief health equity officer of Cincinnati-based health system TriHealth, according to an April 27 report from the Cincinnati Business Courier.

Dr. Shockley has been with TriHealth for a decade, first serving as an orthopedic surgeon at TriHealth Orthopedic and Sport Institute from 2013 to 2019, according to LinkedIn. He then went on to serve as the institute’s medical director before being named associate chief medical officer of TriHealth in 2022.

Dr. Shockley serves on the medical executive committee at TriState Evendale (Ohio) Hospital and as team physician for Finneytown High School in Cincinnati, according to his TriHealth biography.
