Chicago Cubs name Dr. Stephen Gryzlo new head physician

Stephen Gryzlo, MD, has been selected as the new head team physician for the Chicago Cubs, Major League Baseball reported Feb. 22.

Dr. Gryzlo previously served as the team’s orthopedist for the past 19 seasons. He is also a professor of orthopedic surgery at Chicago-based Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. 

He succeeds Stephen Adams, MD, who served as head team physician and medical director and recently retired after five decades with the team.
