CEO of Franciscan Missionaries to retire

Richard Vath, MD, president and CEO of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, has announced plans to retire in June 2024.

Dr. Vath’s career as a physician and healthcare administrator spans over four decades, according to an email release shared Aug. 3 with Becker’s. He first joined Our Lady Health System in 2006 as the inaugural quality and patient safety medical director for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La.

Dr. Vath went on to serve as the health system’s chief clinical and transformation officer before being named president and CEO in 2019.
