Cedars-Sinai International names chief executive of international division

Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai appointed Heitham Hassoun, MD, as chief executive of its international division.

Dr. Hassoun, a vascular surgeon, has served as vice president and medical director of Cedars-Sinai International since 2018, according to a May 24 news release from the health system. In his new role, he will work to expand Cedars-Sinai’s global presence through collaborations and affiliations.

Additionally, the health system named James Laur its chief executive of intellectual property and health ventures and Stella Chen its associate chief financial officer.
