Dr. Roehrl most recently served as director of the Precision Pathology Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, according to an April 4 news release. He also operates a research lab that studies cancer biology and autoimmunity using proteomics and proteogenomics.
In his new role at Beth Israel, Dr. Roehrl will lead the pathology department’s clinical services, education programs and research. He will succeed Jeffrey Saffitz, MD, PhD, who will continue to treat patients at BIDMC.
