ACGME taps next president, CEO

Debra Weinstein, MD, was named the next president and CEO of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Weinstein currently serves as chief academic officer for Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine and  executive vice dean at the University of Michigan Medical School, according to an Aug. 14 news release from ACGME. She previously served as vice president for graduate medical education at Mass General Brigham in Boston.

Dr. Weinstein will begin her tenure as president and CEO Jan. 1.
