Here are five physician CEO exits and appointments that took place in May, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Jim McGovern, MD, is no longer chief executive of the Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth’s Oregon region.
2. Gianrico Farrugia, MD, president and CEO of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, plans to step down at the end of 2026.
3. Steve Gordon, MD, plans to retire as president and CEO of Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health System.
4. John Evanko, MD, was appointed president of Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y.
5. Craig Gronczewski, MD, was named CEO of Penn Medicine Doylestown (Pa.) Health, effective June 1.
