3 physicians join Upstream Bio’s advisory team

Massachusetts-based biotechnology company Upstream Bio has added three new physicians to its clinical advisory team.

Marcella Ruddy, MD, is the chief medical officer at Tectonic Therapeutics. She has over 18 years of drug development experience. Dr. Ruddy completed her internal medicine fellowship training at Harvard Medical School (Boston). 

Dr. Ian Pavford is a professor of respiratory medicine at the University of Oxford (London). He is the second most frequently cited asthma researcher in the world. 

Michael Wechsler, MD, is a professor of medicine at National Jewish Health (Denver). He completed his fellowship at Harvard Medical School (Boston). 

“These key appointments will help Upstream drive toward continued value creation for patients and shareholders as we grow and increase the complexity of our clinical programs,” Sam Truex, CEO of Upstream, said in an Oct. 6 press release. “We are excited and privileged to work with these esteemed clinical experts in the treatment of asthma and inflammatory disease.”
