Twenty-two percent of employed physicians are unsatisfied or very unsatisfied with their autonomy at work, according to Medscape’s Employed Physicians Report 2025, published Oct. 31.
The report is based on a survey of 823 employed physicians conducted between March 19 and June 3.
Here’s how employed physicians feel about their autonomy at work:
- Very satisfied: 13%
- Satisfied: 40%
- Neutral: 26%
- Unsatisfied: 16%
- Very unsatisfied: 6%
