Tech roles gain importance in health system C-Suites

Health systems executives expect leaders overseeing AI projects to have increased importance in the coming years.

Here are the new roles that execs predict will rise in prominence over the next three years, according to a Nov. 6 Healthcare Financial Management Association report that surveyed 125 CFOs and 67 other C-suite leaders:

1. Chief AI Innovation Officer: 64.3%

2. Chief AI Transformation Officer: 32.7%

3. Chief Digital Officer: 26.0%

4. Chief Growth Officer: 23.5%

5. Chief Medical Innovation Officer: 22.4%

6. Chief Experience Officer: 21.9%

7. Other: 11.1%

8 (tie). Chief Pharmacy Officer: 6.1%

8 (tie). Chief Marketing Officer: 6.1%
