Physicians are most comfortable investing in securities, according to Medscape’s 2025 report “Where Doctors Are Comfortable Investing,” published in April.
Medscape asked 7,322 physicians across 29 specialties which of the following they are the most comfortable investing in. Here’s what they answered:
- Securities: 33%
- Real estate: 26%
- Nonmedical businesses: 7%
- Medical businesses: 5%
- Personal property: 5%
- Other: 3%
- None of the above: 21%
