The highest-paying regions for female physicians

Pacific Coast states like California, Oregon and Hawaii are the highest paying for female physicians, according to a recent Medscape survey.

Medscape’s “Female Physician Compensation 2023” surveyed 10,011 physicians across more than 29 specialties.

These are the highest-paying regions for female physicians by average salary, according to the report:

Pacific: $314,000

West North Central: $308,000

East Central: $300,000

Mid-Atlantic: $296,000

South Atlantic: $296,000

New England: $295,000

Mountain: $294,000

West South Central: $294,000
