1. Physicians and surgeons’ median annual wage is greater than or equal to $208,000.
2. The median annual wage for healthcare practitioners and technical occupations, including registered nurses, physicians and dental hygienists, is $75,040.
3. Employment of physicians and surgeons is projected to grow 3 percent from 2021 to 2031.
4. Roughly 23,800 openings for physicians and surgeons are projected each year, on average, over the next 10 years.
