Alaska is the state with the lowest taxes, according to a March 4 report from personal finance website WalletHub.

The report was based on real estate, vehicle, income, sales, excise, and state and local taxes.

Here is the average annual compensation for family physicians in the 10 states with the lowest taxes in the United States, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

  5. Montana: $209,330
  6. Colorado: $219,120

  8. South Carolina: $309,270
