Physician pay in the happiest cities to live in

Fremont, Calif., is the happiest city to live in, according to a Feb. 27 report on the “Happiest Cities in America” from WalletHub.

The report ranked 180 of the largest cities across the country on three key metrics: emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment. 

Here is the average annual compensation for family physicians in the 10 happiest cities in the United States, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

  9. Columbia, Md.: $242,010
  10. Scottsdale, Ariz.: $232,750
