New Jersey has the highest annual median wage for physician assistants of any state, according to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Across the U.S., the annual median wage for physician assistants is $135,880.

The agency updated salary data May 15, 2026, to reflect 2025 information, the latest available.
