These determinations were paused by CMS on Feb. 6, according to a March 6 news release from the American Society of Anesthesiologists. The pause followed a decision from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The call to resume these IDR payment determinations is being made by the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Anesthesiologists, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
