How cancellations and no-shows are costing physicians

Patient cancellations and no-shows could cost healthcare providers as much as $7,500 per month, according to a recent report from Tebra.

The report, which polled 1,075 patients and 204 healthcare providers on patient and provider behaviors concerning no-shows and cancellations, found that the total monthly loss comes out to an average loss of $375 per patient. 

The report also found that patients identified same-day or next-day appointment availability as the best way to avoid cancellations and no-shows.
