- Personal college or medical school loans: 27%
- Credit card debt: 27%
- College tuition for children: 18%
- Medical expenses for self or loved one: 18%
- Child care: 15%
- Mortgage on second home: 14%
- Private school tuition for children: 14%
- Car lease: 13%
- Spouse or significant other’s college, medical school or graduate loans: 8%
- Business loan: 6%
- Graduate school tuition for children: 4%
- Alimony: 1%
- Other: 5%
- None: 12%
