The arrangements aim to speed up BCBSM’s attempts to shift away from the traditional fee-for-service model. In these full-risk agreements, payment is instead dependent on the physician’s overall health and care outcomes for their patients.
The six physician organizations signing onto these arrangements are Answer Health, Great Lakes Physician Organization, Huron Valley Practice Affiliates, Medical Network One and Oakland Physician Network Services.
